2887 persons receive Rs 36.4 million under Ehsaas Emergency cash programme.

RAWALPINDI -- Rawalpindi District Administration on Wednesday continued to provide Ehsaas financial assistance to poor and deserving persons while as many as 2887 families received Rs 12,000 each cash during last 24 hours here in Rawalpindi district under Ehsaas Emergency

Cash programme launched by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government to provide financial assistance to the deserving families.

According to a District Government spokesman, total 97,625 persons have received financial assistance and cash amounting to over Rs 1170 million rupees.

He said, 26 centers were set up for Rawalpindi district including tehsil Gujar Khan, Taxila, Murree, Kahuta, Kallar Syedan and Kotli Sattian.

He said, the poor families received cash from 26 points in Rawalpindi district while the cash was disbursed among the deserving families affected by the lockdown.
