280 centres set up in Dir for voter registration.

TIMERGARA -- The Lower Dir district election commissioner Noor Said Khan said on Sunday that a total of 280 display centres had been set up in the district for fresh registration, transfer and correction of votes.

Talking to mediapersons here, he said that the centres would remain active till January 22 and during this one month time the people could register their votes and make necessary correction.

The official said that the centres set up at the government primary, middle and high schools in parts of the district would start work from Monday (today). He said that new voters would be registered while dead people would be excluded from the lists.

CHAMBER'S ELECTIONS: The traders of Lower Dir on Sunday announced to support the Businessmen Group (BMG) in election of the Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FPCCI), which were scheduled to be held on Dec 27 in Karachi.

The announcement was made during a meeting of the businessmen panel held at the office of Dir Chamber of Commerce with prominent businessman from Peshawar Haji Ghulam Ali in chair. The trader bodies' representatives from various parts of Lower Dir attended the meeting.
