220 petrol pumps inspected in two months, 59 observed less filling.

ISLAMABAD -- Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has inspected 220 petrol pumps of different Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) during two months (July and August 2018) and found 59 cases where less filling was observed.

The matter is under process i.e. issuance of showcause notices to OMCs followed by hearing and imposition of penalties.

According to Petroleum Division here, the gauges on dispensers of petrol pumps and CNG stations are monitored and checked for accuracy by Weight and Measurement Departments of each province under rules.
