2019 was year of PTI's 'incompetence', say PPP, JI leaders.

HYDERABAD -- Leaders of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) on Wednesday slammed Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf's (PTI) federal government and termed the outgoing year as a year of 'incompetence and mismanagement' with the government scaling up tariff on fuel 'as a gift' for people in the New Year.

'Except for inflation, hunger, poverty, unemployment and lawlessness, the federal government has given nothing to people,' said PPP MPA Abdul Jabbar Khan in a statement.

He said the government had increased tariff on gas and petrol and above all it had given a gift to people in this new year as well. The government's maladministration, frustration and vengeful actions had tainted its reputation to a great extent as people had got sick of its 16-month performance in the country, he said.

The new year of 2020 would be an election year so that people could get some kind of relief, he said and urged people to disseminate a message of PPP among people and strengthen this party.
