20 TLP workers arrested.

RAWALPINDI -- The law enforcement agencies on Friday night arrested more than 20 activists of Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP).

The arrests were aimed at preventing them from taking part in a protest scheduled to be staged at Liaquat Bagh and Faizabad on Sunday.

According to police sources, the crackdown on TLP workers was launched on Friday afternoon in different parts of the city. More TLP workers are expected to be arrested during the next 24 hours, the sources said.

The TLP had staged a three-day sit-in across the country to protest the acquittal of Aasia Bibi in a blasphemy case. However, they ended the protest on Nov 3, after the government agreed to put Aasia's name on the Exit Control List and to refrain from objecting to filing a review petition in the Supreme Court.
