1500 kg substandard food items recovered from warehouse.

KHANEWAL -- The District Administration and the Punjab Food Authority (PFA), in a joint operation on Thursday, recovered over 1500 kilograms of dry milk and tea from a godown.

Acting on a tip off, a team led by Assistant Commissioner (Coordination) Sadaf Akbar and the PFA deputy director raided a warehouse at Awan Chowk.

The team found 1000 kg dry milk, 500 kg tea, another 40 kg tea packed in label-less packing, 80 kg red chili, and packing of different companies at the warehouse.

Staff at the warehouse were caught red-handed as they were stuffing dry milk and food cereal for kids in the packing of established brands to deceive the consumers...
