14 more die of pandemic in KP.

PESHAWAR -- The death toll due to coronavirus reached 365 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa after 14 more persons died of the infection in the province on Thursday.

Tally of province-wide infected people reached 7,155 with detection of 340 new patients during the last 24 hours, according to daily Covid-19 update of the health department.

Peshawar continued to record bulk of the deaths as of the newly-confirmed fatalities from the virus, seven occurred in the provincial capital, which now accounted for 216 of the overall deaths in the province.

Two patients died in Karak and as many in Bajaur, one each in Kohat, Hangu and Charsadda, the report said. So far, 2198 Covid-19 confirmed patients have been treated and sent home from the hospitals in the province as 68 more have healed from the pandemic, according to the report.

Number of total positive cases reaches 7,155 in the province

Peshawar is also atop of scorecard of confirmed patients in the province with 92 fresh positive patients, the number of cases in the provincial capital stands at 2,694 now, the highest number recorded by any district in the province as well as in the country.

Swat, another endemic district, reported 31 new patients which took its total tally of patients to 615. The district also accounted for 30 deaths from the Covid-19.

Khyber tribal district reported 28 fresh coronavirus cases, making its total case count 155. The district has so far recorded two deaths from the virus but of late number of cases has been increasing.

The number of total patients in Charsadda reached 150 with the addition of 21 new cases, according to the report. The district has so far recorded six deaths from the infectious ailment.
