13 suspects involved in heinous crimes arrested.

ISLAMABAD -- As many as 13 absconders involved in heinous crimes have been arrested during the last six days, a police public relations officer said on Sunday.

Following directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr Akbar Nasir Khan, tasks were assigned to all police officials to ensure that proclaimed offenders involved in heinous crimes were arrested. All sub-divisional police officers and station house officers were directed to launch a massive crackdown against proclaimed offenders and court absconders.

Similarly, police took prompt action against underage motorcyclists and drivers during the ongoing month and imposed fines on them.

Meanwhile, the funeral prayer of a police constable, Ghulam Murtaza, was offered at Police Lines Headquarters.
