12 May riots: ATC issues non-bailable arrest warrants of four accused.

KARACHI -- An Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) on Monday issued non-bailable arrest warrants for four absconding offenders in a case regarding 12 May riots.

As the case came up for hearing at ATC, the court issued arrest warrants of absconding offenders including Abdul Bari Kakar, Habibullah, Mushtaq and Wakeel Khan. The police have named more than 500 activists of Pakistan Peoples' Party (PPP), Jamaat-e-Islami and Awami National Party (ANP) in the case.

However, an Investigation Officer (IO) once against sought more time for the arrest of absconding offenders. The court ordered the IO to arrest and produce the absconding offenders before the court...
