12 Dir police officials promoted to ASI rank.

LOWER DIR -- Twelve officials of Lower Dir police were promoted to the rank of assistant sub-inspector (ASI) upon passing their departmental promotion examination.

A function to this effect was held at the office of the district police officer here on Tuesday. DPO Ziauddin, SP investigations Zahoor Ahmad, SP Counter-Terrorism Department Amjad Khan, DSP headquarters Syed Ahmad Khan, DSP legal Rashid Khan and DSP investigations Syed Zaman Shah were also present.

The DPO pinned promotion badges to the ASIs, who have been promoted under the fast-track promotion policy of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Service Commission.

The promoted ASIs included Zaman, Khan Imran, Sajid Hayat, Azeem Badshah, Hashmatullah, Islam Zaman, Mohammad Farooq, Shakeel Ahmed, Asif Ali, Abdul Qadir, Mohammad Ismail and Ikramullah.

Speaking on the occasion, DPO Ziauddin Ahmed said departmental promotion was the right of dutiful employees. However, he said the duties and responsibilities of the promoted officials increased, which guaranteed their next departmental promotion.
