107 graduates conferred degrees in Szabist convocation.

LARKANA -- A total of 107 graduates were conferred degrees at the 14th convocation of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology (Szabist), Larkana campus, on Wednesday.

Sindh Minister for Health and Szabist Chancellor Dr Azra Fazal Pechuho opened the convocation and academics vice president Prof Dr Altaf Mukati awarded degrees to the students, including 74 undergraduates, 33 masters in the disciplines of management sciences, biosciences (Karachi campus) and computer science.

Dr Pechuho said Benazir Bhutto in October 1995 had established Szabist in line with the dream and vision of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto to have tertiary institution of highest quality and world-class technology.

She said the institution was known as the seat of academic excellence to impart quality education especially to young women. It was now counted in the top institutions listed by the Higher Education Commission where 600 students were enrolled, she added.

She said the quality and learning-oriented approaches were the salient features of the institution which had signed memorandums of understanding with the renowned institutions of the country.
