0.5m litres of Iranian diesel seized.

ISLAMABAD -- Pakistan Customs in coordination with Frontier Corps Balochistan has seized 504,000 litres of smuggled Iranian diesel along with oil tankers.

It was the biggest-ever seizure valuing Rs178.26 million in less than a week's time. Moreover, the customs authorities in different raids also seized other smuggled goods worth Rs48.86m.

An official announcement said Member Customs Operation Tariq Huda has tasked the chief collectors to intensify drive against smuggling to encourage imports on legal channels and to attract investment.
