Women work force in Pakistan increasing continuously.

KARACHI -- Women make up 48.5 and 69.3 percent of total labor force in the world and developing economies respectively. As per a survey conducted in the year 2018, Pakistani women's participation rate was 25.12 percent in 2019, and it has been on rise since 2020.

Women's growing share in the labor force has convinced researchers to investigate various aspects of women's workplace behavior but innovation.

Workplace innovation behavior is described as intended efforts to create, promote and implement innovative ideas so as to benefit work performance in groups and organization.

This has been stated in s study report on 'A Pilot Investigation of the Departments of Workplace Innovation Behavior in Service Industry of Pakistan', Published in Muhammad Ali Jinnah University, Karachi's Jinnah Business and Economics Research Journal, recently.

The study was done by Saima Rafique of SZABIST, Larkana and Naveed R. Khan of Bahira University, Karachi.

As per study report workplace innovation is considered essential in routine tasks within those organizations that wish to remain competitive and turbulent business environment.

Theory suggests that organizational factor affect innovation behavior in the workplace.

For example, earlier studies have reported leader role expectation, experience related to image and performance outcomes and learning goal orientation as determinates of workplace innovation behavior.
