Woman arrested for torturing stepdaughters.

SWABI -- Police here have arrested a woman for torturing her two teenage stepdaughters to make them follow her orders.

When contacted, Mr Subhanuddin, maternal uncle of the two sisters, hailing from Jaganat village, told this correspondent on Friday that they had registered an FIR in Swabi city police station.

He said the two reached his house as the cruelty of their stepmother forced them to flee their home. He said mother of the girls died a few years ago and their father had married the accused woman.

Mr Subhanuddin quoted the teenage sisters as saying that their stepmother would always treat them harshly and regularly beat them.
