Win against Maldives was 'morale boosting' Captain Maria Khan.

LAHORE -- Pakistan women football team captain Maria Khan has said that the 7-0 victory against Maldives has boosted the team's morale and the girls are determined to do well in upcoming assignments.

Addressing the press conference held here at the PFF Headquarters on Thursday, Maria, along with head coach Adeel Rizki, team members and others, said: 'The victory against Maldives in the SAFF Football Championship has boosted the team's morale. After a long gap of eight years, we got an opportunity to participate in an international event.

'There was also limited time for preparations but we tried our best in a better way. During the mega event, there were signs of improvement in performance and I am glad that the girls did their best. We will work harder for future competitions and try to give better results,' she affirmed.
