Why toy guns?

I HAVE noticed that on every major festive occasion like Eid or other festivals, the sale of toy guns is at an all-time high.

Parents pay no attention as to where their children are spending the money they receive as gift from their elders. In many instances it is the parents themselves who take great pride to purchase toy guns for children because they feel this thoughtless act is acceptable, especially on festival events.

The purchase of toy guns is a serious issue and poses a threat to the tranquillity of society. The practice of sale and purchase is observed particularly in our rural areas. It has been also seen that toy guns are being used by criminals...
