When will the 2023 ODI World Cup start?

A tentative schedule for the 2023 ODI World Cup in India has been proposed with the tournament set to take place from October 5th to November 19th.

The final of the 10-team spectacle will be played in the largest cricketing stadium in the world in Ahmedabad. Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Dharamsala, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Indore, Rajkot and Mumbai are other cities which are likely to host the 48 matches across the 46-day period.

BCCI, the hosts for the event, is reportedly battling several concerns before finalising the schedule and venues which are usually announced a year in advance.

Chiefly among the problems is the monsoon season receding at different points in different parts of the country which needs to be taken into account when finalising the venues for an uninterrupted tournament.
