Watchman killed in Bajaur blast.

BAJAUR -- A blast in front of a doctor's clinic left a watchman dead in Bajaur district, officials and local residents said on Thursday.

They said that the incident occurred at about 7am in Kamar Sar bazaar in Mamond tehsil.

Local shopkeepers told this correspondent that the bomb planted outside the clinic of Dr Mohammad Tahir, former medical superintendent of the district headquarters hospital, Khar, exploded when a watchman of the bazaar incidentally touched it.

They said the watchman was critically wounded in the explosion and died on way to hospital.

He was identified as Kawal, 60.

The clinic which was closed at the time of blast was partially damaged.

No one has claimed reasonability for the blast.
