The Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS), in collaboration with LUMS Emergency Medical Services (EMS), organised an information session on life-saving tools and methods including first aid, disaster response, and action regarding climate change, with an emphasis on the role of youth in addressing these humanitarian issues.

Honourable Guest for the session held at LUMS was Dr. Saeed Ilahi, National Chairman of PRCS. In his address to the audience, Dr. Ilahi elaborated on the history and mission of the Red Crescent and urged those present to wholeheartedly participate in its diversifying initiatives. He stressed the role of youth and gave the students a vision of what could be accomplished with the untapped energy of university students across Pakistan.

His talk centred around highlighting prime position the students held as agents of change and encouraged them to confidently embrace the responsibility. Dr. Arshad Ahmad, Vice Chancellor, LUMS, was also present at the event representing the University and praised the efforts of the Red Crescent leadership in addressing the various humanitarian crises that the country faces and planting the seeds of change and development across Pakistan.
