US special discusses Afghan peace process with PM, Army Chief.

ISLAMABAD -- US Special Representative for Afghanistan Reconciliation Zalmay Khalilzad met Prime Minister Imran Khan, Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa and other senior officials during his two-day visit to Islamabad. Khalilzad, during meetings, discussed the current status of the Afghan peace process and the importance of reducing violence. He made visit on October 28 and 29 October, according a US embassy statement on Wednesday. The US envoy underscored the economic and security benefits that peace can bring to the region.
