Unsafe masks.

I RECENTLY went to the market where I saw a number of roadside vendors selling masks. The sellers were holding masks in their hands and most masks were not in plastic covers.

There is a huge possibility that those masks were infected with virus and a large of number of people who bought them might have got infected with it.

On the one hand, the government maintains the lockdown in the country to stop the spread of coronavirus; on the other hand, some mask sellers are a potential source of spreading the virus. These cotton masks are made in small factories and homes, and precautionary measure are never taken by manufacturers.

Sanitisers, on the other hand, are expensive. A 100ml bottle of sanitiser is being sold for Rs200 to Rs300. These small sanitiser bottles are made for a single person use, but it has been observed that many persons use the same bottle.
