KARACHI -- The role of higher education institutions is very important for bringing betterment in the society and especially those which fall under the public education sector as this is always the first choice of the masses. Quality research conducted in the universities should have profound impact on the masses. The education should be given according to modern needs and it is only possible when good researches are conducted by the varsities. Despite the fact that the University of Karachi has very limited resources available, the university playing very important role in shaping the society by giving quality education to its students. These views were expressed by the KU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Khalid Mahmood Iraqi while addressing the Karachi University Teachers' Society Annual Dinner which was held at Staff Club.
