UET Alumnus to bear renovation cost of Umar Hall - Press Release issued by University of Engineering and Technology.

University of Engineering Technology (UET) Lahore organized Alumni dinner for the reconstruction of UET Umar Hall. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Aziz Akbar, all chairmen from various departments, Deans, Chairman Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) Engr. Jawed Salim Qureshi, Chairman LESCO Mujahid Pervaz Chattah, Dr. Ahmad Bilal, Hamid Saeed and other dignitaries and Alumni attended the event.

While addressing the audience Prof. Dr. Aziz Akbar said, "Due to reduction of grant from Higher Education Commission (HEC) and limited resources the ancient Umar Hall of University is facing deterioration. In this context our Alumni will have to come forward and take part in the reconstruction of Umar Hall to return it into its past glory.

The estimated cost for the reconstruction and renovation of Umar Hall will be almost 2 billion which must be fulfilled...
