Two wounded as gas cylinder shop catches fire.

BAJAUR -- Two persons suffered injuries while three shops were gutted after a gas cylinder shop caught fire in Khar Bazaar of Bajaur tribal district on Saturday evening.

Traders and officials said the fire erupted due to explosion of a gas cylinder inside a shop selling liquefied petroleum gas in the market.

Traders association led by its president Haji Lali Shah and Rescue 1122 personnel soon reached the spot and started efforts to control the fire.

The joint squads of Rescu1122 and civil defence extinguished the fire in about one hour. However, three shops were burnt in the incident while two persons were wounded.

The traders said that Hafiz Rahmatullah, said to be the owner of LPG cylinders shop, received minor burns while one Mohammad Anwar was wounded while extinguishing fire.
