Two killed in clash over ownership of Dir tourist spot.

UPPER DIR -- Two persons were killed and two others injured on Friday in a clash between two tribes of Wari tehsil in Upper Dir district over ownership of forest area of a tourist spot.

The residents of Badalai blocked Dir-Peshawar road to traffic for over three hours by placing body of one of the deceased on the road in Wari.

Local sources said that two persons were killed and two others wounded in exchange of fire wherein heavy weapons were used.

The deceased were identified as Saaz Bahadar, a resident of Badalai, Nehag Darra, and Tareen of Metrora, Karo Darra.

District police officer Mian Naseeb Jan told this correspondent on phone that he had sent police officials to the site a day before and he himself was on way to the spot to monitor the situation himself and got the firing stopped.
