Two drug peddlers killed in 'encounter'.

GUJAR KHAN -- Jhelum police on Monday claimed that two drug peddlers were killed from the firing of their accomplices when a police team raided their hideout on Sunday night.

Addressing a press conference, DPO Jhelum Shakir Hussain Dawar said three policemen also received injuries.

He said the outlaws opened fire on the police team when it raided their hideout in the jurisdiction of city police station.

When the police party reached Mohallah Malaah the drug peddlers' families including women started throwing stones and flower pots on the policemen from rooftops and also opened fire on the police party, he said.

According to SHO Ayaz Janjua, when the firing stopped police entered their house and found two drug peddlers killed allegedly during indiscriminate firing of the outlaws.
