Two die in Haripur accident, one commits suicide.

HARIPUR -- Three people were killed and two injured in separate incidents here, the police said here on Tuesday.

The Kotnajibullah police said local residents Mohammad Sabir and Zeeshan Shabbir suffered critical injuries after the motorcycle they rode fell into a roadside gorge near the Hattar Interchange.

They added that the injured were shifted to the trauma centre, where both died.

The Ghazi police said resident Sajid Kamran, 46, committed suicide in Mubeen Banda area.

The deceased's father-in-law, George Gill, claimed that he went to his sister's house and learned that Sajid Kamran locked himself in his bedroom and didn't respond to frequent knocking of the door.

He added that he broke into the room and found his son-in-law's body hanging from the ceiling fan.

The police and Rescue 1122 workers shifted the body to the tehsil headquarters hospital for postmortem.

George Gill said the deceased was the father of five daughters and a minor son and it wasn't known why he ended his life.

However, the deceased was understood to be jobless and had faced financial problems for a few months.
