Triple Death Sentence for Man Convicted of Raping and Murdering Minor Girl in KP.

PESHAWAR -- A Child Protection Court in Peshawar has handed down three death sentences to a man found guilty of raping, killing, and subsequently burning the body of an eight-year-old girl in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) capital. Child Protection Court Judge Hina Mehwish issued the judgment, accompanied by a fine of Rs1 million for the convict, Asif Raza, also known as Malangay.

The minor girl's body was discovered in the Balukhel Bala area, within the jurisdiction of the Badbher police station on November 19, 2020, a day after her disappearance. Her family and local residents protested the heinous act, which prompted top officials to take notice and register a case. The police apprehended the accused on December 11, 2020.
