A group of 80 attendees of the 13th Asian Youth Council General Assembly joined Ulaanbaatar's green development initiative to plant 100 trees at the National Garden Park on Wednesday.

The grove they planted was named Asian Youth Grove and the attendees noted that they planted not only trees, but also their "dreams" in the soil.

"The assembly is a very significant event as it was very important for the youth of Asia to get together and exchange thoughts. We talked about many pressing and timely issues, as well as possible solutions for them. Today, we are planting trees together with our dreams, and we hope our dreams will flourish and grow tall," said Jee Se Sun, Honorable Vice President of the Asian Youth Council.

The attendees who planted trees were from 23 different nations, including Russia, China, South Korea, North Korea, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Cambodia and Poland.

The Mongolian Youth Federation promoted its ongoing projects for youth development and travelled around the park on bike to learn about the Cycling Ulaanbaatar project.
