Transport Fares Reduced Following Drop in Petrol Prices.

ISLAMABAD -- In response to a significant reduction in petrol prices in Pakistan, transport fares have been lowered. The Islamabad Transport Authority (ITA) has announced a 10% reduction in transport fares for both inter-city and intra-city routes, aiming to provide relief to commuters.

This decision was made following a meeting held on the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Irfan Nawaz Memon, who reacted to the government's reduction of petroleum product prices.

The reduced fares will apply to 23 different routes in the Islamabad district, as well as for intra-city transport outside Islamabad. The ITA has urged all public transport operators to adhere to the new fare schedule and display the revised fares prominently in their vehicles. They warned of strict action against those who charge above the prescribed fares.
