Training of education dept employees begins.

PESHAWAR -- The GIZ along with its implementing partner, the Institute of Management Sciences, Peshawar, has started imparting training to the employees of elementary and secondary education department in tribal districts on public financial management, procurement rules and budget execution.

The training started at Pakistan Academy for Rural Development (PARD) in Peshawar.

The employees working on administrative posts, who are also performing drawing and disbursement roles, would be trained to effectively serve in the tribal districts.

The training contents include introduction to public financial management system, legal and institutional arrangements, revised estimate, schedule for new expenditures (SNEs), proposed budget for next financial year, preparation of budget, presentation of budget for voting, approval of budget, execution of budget, reconciliation of expenditure, reporting of budget execution, annual audit, general financial rules (GFR), new accounting model (NAM) and new chart of accounts (CoA), according to a statement issued here on Saturday.
