Today is a day of pride for Pakistan: PM Imran Khan.

ISLAMABAD -- On the occasion of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah's 144th birth anniversary, Prime Minister Imran Khan said on Friday that today is a day of pride for every Pakistani and thanked Allah Almighty for providing an independent homeland.

Imran Khan said Quaid-e-Azam had a vision for the Muslims of the subcontinent as a result of which Pakistan came into existence. He urged all live the Quaid's ideals of Unity, Faith and Discipline with a renewed national spirit to overcome all seen and unseen challenges.

The premier said that Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah had a firm faith in God and His Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) which guided him through a long journey comprising of ordeals, deceptions and dejections but culminating in grandeur, decor and eternity.

On the other hand, President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi also paid tribute to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah for founding a separate homeland for the Muslims of the subcontinent.

The president urged the nation in his message to follow Jinnah's footsteps in all walks of life and make Pakistan a strong and prosperous country.

Dr. Arif Alvi said we should reaffirm our commitment to building a state that respects the diversity of its people and provides equal opportunities to its citizens irrespective of their religion, caste, creed or colour.
