Timber, furniture gutted in godown fire.

SARGODHA -- A fire erupting in a godown located near the lower Jhelum Canal reduced the stock of timber and furniture to ashes on Saturday night.

According to witnesses, firefighters extinguished the blaze after three-hour long hectic efforts. The cause of the fire that gutted a huge stock of timber and wooden furniture was yet to be determined.

According to locals, timely action by Rescue 1122 firefighters controlled the fire before it could engulf adjacent shops and houses.
