Three innovators awarded for finding solutions to education woes during pandemic.

ISLAMABAD -- Top three innovators of the National Education Challenge 2020, which was launched to find solution to mitigate the effects of Covid-19 outbreak on education, wereannounced and awarded on Sunday.

The announcement was made through video link by Ignite, an attached department of the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication.

According to a statement, Secretary IT and Telecom Shoaib Ahmad Siddiqui attended the event as chief guest on behalf of Minister for IT and Telecom Syed Aminul Haq. The statement said the challenge was launched on June 18 by Ignite through NIC Karachi to mitigate the effects of the virus outbreak on education and literacy.

It said Taleemabad won Rs1.5 million. The startup promises to increase engagement through different assessments that can be implemented on a daily-basis which will help individuals to overcome daily life challenges.

The first runner-up, Halla Gulla, was awarded Rs1 million for their solution to address the importance of early childhood education and its impact on generating fast learning results besides building a strong foundation. The second runner-up, Nativ Learning, received Rs500,000 for expanding the rate of literacy by making education material available in native languages...
