Three cops sacked for misbehaving with doctor.

LAKKI MARWAT -- Three policemen were dismissed from service here the other day after they were found guilty of misbehaving with a doctor in the Lakki city two weeks ago.

On the night of June 14, head constable Amir Nawaz and constables Mohammad Haya and Mohammad Idress had misbehaved with ENT specialist Dr Umer Hayat over car parking issue. The policemen had also detained the doctor in the city police station for some time.

The incident angered the doctors and paramedics who suspended services in government hospitals, promoting the district police chief to suspend the cops and order departmental action against them.

The suspended policemen were charge-sheeted with a summary of allegations and DSP Azmat Bangash was appointed as inquiry officer to initiate departmental proceedings against them. The inquiry officer submitted his findings to the district police officer, who imposed major penalty on them.
