Three BHUs sealed after as many doctors test positive for Covid-19 in Ratodero.

LARKANA -- A male and two female doctors tested positive for coronavirus on Thursday, leading to closure of three basic health units in Ratodero where they had been working.

Earlier, three doctors at Ratodero taluka headquarters hospital were diagnosed with Covid-19 and with the new cases the number of medical officers infected with the virus in Ratodero alone had reached six, said Dr Tufail Ahmed Selro, medical superintendent of Ratodero taluka hospital.

He confirmed the basic health units in Warisdino Machhi, Lashari and Mehar Buriro had been sealed and samples of 33 staffers working there had been collected for test.

The control room at deputy commissioner's office said that as of Wednesday 14 new cases of coronavirus had been detected, raising the tally to 151. Two of them had recovered and 116 had been quarantined at home.

Meanwhile, confusion reigned at Shaikh Zayed Hospital for Woman when a mother of six from Madeji town died after giving birth to a baby on Tuesday.
