Teenager shoots himself dead accidentally while making video.

KARACHI -- A teenager died when his gun went off by accident while he was making a TikTok video off the Superhighway within the remit of the Sachal police station on Sunday, officials said.

They added that 17-year-old Tanveer Murtaza was making a video with his cell phone for TikTok in Sikandar Goth when his gun he was holding in his other hand went off.

He sustained a critical bullet wound and was taken to the Patel Hospital in Gulshan-i-Iqbal, where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.

Sachal police station SHO Safdar Abbasi said the police were investigating the case.

Man killed over freewill marriage A man identified as Siraj Shah, 30, was shot dead over his freewill marriage in Indus Town in Gulshani-Maymar late on Saturday night, police said.

They added that two suspects, Saifullah andZahoor, stormed the house of Siraj Shah and tried to kidnap his wife Sherbano. When Siraj put up resistance the suspects shot him dead, said area SHO Shahid Husain.

The police said both the men were relatives of the woman and after the incident they ran away.

However, the police received information about the incident upon which the SHO leading a police party went after the suspects. The police found the suspects hiding in bushes where an encounter took place. The suspects were arrested in wounded condition af ter an exchange of gunfire. Two pistols and one dagger were recovered from them.

The officer revealed that the suspects were cousins of the woman. The woman had married the deceased with her own freewill in her native town of Mastung, Balochistan, a few years ago, which was opposed by her family.

Subsequently, the couple shifted to Karachi.
