Taxila records more positive cases.

TAXILA -- As many as 21 new positive cases were detected in Taxila on Tuesday in which six patients belonged to a same family who get infected from already positive patients while three other also belongs to same family get infected from their positive family member.

Deputy district officer health Dr Sara Qadeer confirmed the spike of coronavirus cases in Taxila as the tally rose to 309 on Tuesday. She said out of the 21 positive patients 14 belonged to various parts of Wah, especially Officers Colony and Shah Wali Colony.

Two officials deputed at Wah Saddar police station were among those who tested positive during the last 24 hours.

She said among the patients, 11 were female. The patients were aged three, 5, 11, 13 and 15 years old.

Replying a question, she said all the patients were home isolated. In Taxila and Wah, she added, 198 positive patients were home isolated while 75 had recovered so far.

Attock

Two persons succumbed to the novel coronavirus in Attock on Tuesday, health authorities confirmed. The death toll in the district rose to 15.

According to health authorities, a 55-year-old man and another aged 78 years, who were under treatment at the district headquarters hospital, died of the coronavirus.
