IN 1974, Tariq Aziz started a quiz programme, Neelam Ghar, which used to be broadcast by PTV. It was later named Tariq Aziz Show and then Bazm-i-Tariq Aziz.

These shows had and excellent format which would spread the knowledge, especially about history, among its viewers. Whenever one watched these shows, one could see enthusiasm among the participants who used to answer the questions and take part in the contest.

This trend was later copied by many private TV channels which started their Ramzan transmission.
