Suspect's father beats up ASI in police station.

UMERKOT -- A man stormed into the Bozdar Farm police station here on Monday and beat up an ASI in a fit of anger over arrest of his son and two nephews.

According to the police, Soomar Bhatti grabbed ASI Saeed Khaskheli, kept abusing and beating him up and tore off his uniform for arresting his son, Asghar, and two nephews, Gulzar and Sikandar a day earlier for manhandling a man, Jani Kalar, for visiting Shehzad Kalar, who had contracted a free-will marriage with a woman belonging to the suspects' community. Shehzad was shot in the leg allegedly by some members of the Bhatti community.

Jani Kalar, in his complaint to the police, stated that Asghar, Gulzar and Sikandar, along with an unknown person, gave him a thrashing for visiting Shehzad. The four suspects were booked and the three nominated ones were arrested by the Bozdar Farm police.

Furious over their arrest, Soomar Bhatti stormed into the police station and threatened the personnel present...
