Sugar Mills Association writes letter to Govt against its inaction.


ISLAMABAD -- The Pakistan Sugar Mills Association has written another letter to the Ministry of Industry and Production as the people are still deprived of relief due to the government not purchasing sugar.

In light of the orders of the Islamabad High Court, the Sugar Mills Association wrote a letter to the Secretary Cabinet Division on June 12 and offered to supply 60,000 tons of sugar at Rs 70 per kg.

The letter says that the association is acting on the directive of the Court and its own goodwill, calling on the government to take immediate steps to provide sugar to the public.
