Subsidy for insect control method.

LAHORE -- The Punjab government has announced subsidy for employing traps to control the attack of pink bollworm on cotton.

The government will offer at least Rs1,000 per acre subsidy to the cotton growers for installing the PB ropes in the cotton zone and its adjoining areas, said a spokesperson for the Agriculture Department, on Thursday

He said growers of Multan, Bahawalpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, Sahiwal, Sargodha and Faisalabad division's tehsils owning up to 50 acres of land might apply for the subsidy individually or in the form of a group.
