Sub-committee of Sindh cabinet discusses PSM workers' plight.

KARACHI -- A Sindh cabinet sub-committee on Saturday held a second consultative meeting with workers of the Pakistan Steel Mills assuring them of the provincial government's full support.

The sub-committee, comprising provincial Ministers Syed Nasir Hussain Shah and Saeed Ghani and Special Assistant to CM Sindh Waqar Mehdi, said that the PPP was a party of workers, and vowed to protect the interests of PSM workers at all cost.

They said that PSM was a national asset and they would not let it be destroyed and use all options to save it.

The meeting, held at the Sindh Assembly Committee Room, was attended by Piler's Karamat Ali, trade union leader Habib Junaidi and Steel Mill Workers and Officers Association leaders.

The cabinet members said that the position of the provincial government on PSM was clear from day one and all stakeholders were being consulted.
