Students seek internet facility in Shangla.

SHANGLA -- The university students have demanded of the government to ensure internet facility as most parts of the district have no such provision, so they can attend to the online classes.

Addressing a news conference here the other day, they said due to the Covid-19 pandemic their respective universities had launched online classes. However, they pointed out that half of the subjects had been completed without their participation because of unavailability of internet service in their villages.

'In our area the cellular companies have yet to start 4G internet facility as the 2G Internet is too slow and we are unable to download the files being sent to us by teachers through Whatsapp groups,' Sarwar Iqbal, a law student, said.

He said they had informed their respective teachers and the university management about the issue, but to no avail.
