STP holds rally against bill for more provinces.

KARACHI -- The Sindh Taraqqi-pasand Party (STP) held a rally outside Governor House and a sit-in in front of the Karachi Press Club on Sunday against a bill to be tabled in the National Assembly by the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) proposing carving out of new provinces in the country.

Addressing the rally, STP chairman Dr Qadir Magsi said that the bill proposing scrapping of the Article 239(4) of the Constitution was a conspiracy. He said any such move would require approval of the provincial assembly concerned.

'By proposing such an amendment, the MQM-P is hatching a conspiracy to divide Sindh which we'll never allow to happen,' said Dr Magsi.
