E-stamp papers launched in Battagram.

BATTAGRAM -- Special assistant to chief minister on revenue Taj Mohammad Khan on Saturday launched issuance of e-stamp papers in Battagram district.

On the occasion, he said the issuance of e-stamp paper was a 'revolutionary' step towards e-governance. 'It will help stop issuance of stamp papers in back dates.'

Mr Taj said the step would help minimise property related disputes, setting exact market value of property and curbing tax evasion and fraud.

He said e-stamp papers could also be verified online.

He claimed reforms were being introduced in the government departments to uphold merit and transparency.
