'SRA militant' held in Mehran Town.

KARACHI -- The Counter Terrorism Department on Tuesday claimed to have arrested a suspect linked with a banned separatist outfit.

The CTD along with an intelligence agency carried out a raid in Mehran Town of Korangi and arrested the suspect, namely Rustam Ali Shar, affiliated with the outlawed Sindhudesh Revolutionary Army, said the spokesperson.

One pistol along with five rounds were recovered from his custody.

The CTD spokesperson said during interrogation, the suspect 'confessed' that he belonged to the SRA whose head is Zulfiqar Khaskheli who lives in Germany.

The suspect is the mastermind of the group involved in brainwashing impressionable youths, claimed the official.

'He used to get targets/directions from Zulfiqar Khaskheli through signal app/telegram app.'
