Spider-Man: No Way Home extended cut to return to cinema screens this fall.

Terrific news for die-hard fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe! To commemorate 60 years of everyone's favourite wall-climbing, web-slinging, teenage superhero sensation making his first appearance in comic books, Jon Watts' Spider-Man: No Way Home is scheduled to return to cinema screens with new, never-before seen footage, deleted scenes and director's cuts.

Sony announced the news on their official Twitter handle, sending Marvel fans around the world into a frenzy.

Some people were very excited.

But others criticised the move. One user suggested the deleted scenes go straight to DVD release.

Another was just mad at Disney.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is Watts' third instalment of the franchise, with actors Tom Holland and Zendaya reprising their roles as Peter Parker/Spider-Man and MJ respectively. With his identity now revealed, Peter Parker must enlist the favour of Dr. Strange in restoring balance to his life, an endeavour resulting in Peter, MJ and Ned needing to battle villains from the franchise's 20-year history. The movie includes appearances of fan favourites like Alfred Molina (Dr. Octopus), Willem Dafoe (The Green Goblin) and Jamie Foxx (Electro).

Images reached out to local cinemas in Karachi and discovered that Nueplex, The Arena and Cinepax have no updates on whether the extended cut will be screened in Pakistan. Atrium said it will not screen the film.

The blockbuster is set to return to cinema screens in the United States and Canada on Friday, September 2, with tickets going up on sale starting August 9.
