Spain to provide technical assistance in fruit, olive cultivation in Punjab.

LAHORE -- Spanish Ambassador Jose AntoAnio De Ory Peral met Chief MinAister Punjab Chaudhry Parvez Elahi, former federal minister Moonis Elahi and Hussain Elahi MNA at the Chief Minister's Office on Friday.

In the meeting, matters of muAtual interest and increasing coAoperation in various sectors were discussed and it was agreed to increase cooperation in commerAcial, industrial and agricultural sectors. Spain will provide techAnical assistance to increase the cultivation of olives, oranges and other citrus fruits in Punjab.

The chief minister said that coAoperation will be promoted with Spain in the fields of agriculture, alternative energy, textiles, liveAstock and mass transit. 'We welAcome the offer of technical assisAtance from Spain in various fields. We will provide all necessary faAcilities to the Spanish investors in Punjab. There are immense opportunities for foreign investAment in Punjab', he told the SpanAish diplomat.
