Soldier martyred in North Waziristan attack.

MIRAMSHAH -- One security man embraced martyrdom while three others received injuries in an attack on a checkpoint in North Waziristan tribal district on Saturday night.

Police said unidentified people attacked the Boya check-post with heavy weapons. Havaldar Akbar was martyred while his three companions received injuries in the exchange of fire with the attackers.

The wounded soldiers have been identified as Saeed, Yasir and Shafqat.

The body of the martyred soldier and the wounded personnel were shifted to a hospital in Miramshah by a helicopter.

The police said the security personnel retaliated after the attack.
